The other featured exhibit is a progression of how 3-D images have been viewed over time. Sitting on the bookshelves, lined up in chronological order, are different viewers. The stereoscope is the oldest, Gottschalk-Fielding said. With a wooden hand-held viewer, patrons can place a card depicting a double image, and see through the viewer a 3-D composite of it.
