Version 2.3.2 (December 2, 2014)
Stereoscopic Player 2.3.2 arrived! It is based on the latest Oculus SDK 0.4.3 and should support the DK2. If anyone owns a DK2, I would be glad to get some feedback if it actually works. With the DK1 it works well, both in extended desktop mode and in direct mode.
I couldn't make the direct mode work in DirectX 9, thus I migrated the Oculus Rift output to DirectX 11. I even managed to unload the Oculus SDK and create a new DirectX device afterwards, as it is required when switching to monoscopic output. This required some changes to the SDK, because the ovr_Shutdown function is broken, it does not unload the render shim (that intercepts Windows API calls) properly.
Stereoscopic Player 2.3.2 also comes with a new setup based on Windows Installer XML. The setup also installs the .NET framework and LAV Filters when required, which bloats the installer file but greatly improves the user experience if these components are not installed yet, especially when installing on a system without Internet connection (like some 3D cinema servers).
Finally, I've also released the MVC to AVI Converter 0.4.2 today.
