A minimal scanning setup consists of a single camera and a projector. However, we recommend to use an additional camera of the same type. 3Digify will support a broad range of cameras (webcams, DSLR cameras, industrial cameras) that can be controlled remotely. As projector, any standard video projector (HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort) may be used.
3Digify is currently in an Early Access stage and may be tested for free until at least August 1st, 2016 (

Support for Nikon is experimental and currently evaluated. If you plan to buy new hardware, we’d advice you to choose Canon devices at this point of time, since they are supported for a much longer time by 3Digify.
Using two cameras from different manufactors at the same time (e.g. 1 Nikon + 1 Canon) is currently not supported.
Video projectors
Any device that can be connected to the computer (e.g. via VGA, HDMI or DisplayPort) that can be configured as a secondary display.
Turntables
Turntable with ethernet interface for automatic scanning without the need for turning the object manually during acquisition; The turntable will soon be provided as 3D-printable do-it-yourself kit and can easily be assembled.
