LOOP is a film created by NASA specifically for Science On a Sphere (SOS). There is no doubt, it is best experienced in an SOS Theater. Though SOS is a growing high-tech media exhibit, they are still hard to find. So here, take a chance to see it in 3D!
About LOOP:
What goes around comes around. As true as this is in daily life, it plays out every day on a global scale, impacting all of life on earth. LOOP seeks to tell that story. From global ocean currents to atmospheric circulation, everything is connected.
High tech data visualization provided by NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio gives the film its backbone, and dreamy real world imagery, shot by lead videographer Victoria Weeks, supplies the context. Written and directed by Michael Starobin and edited by Victoria Weeks, the film features original music by Andre Gribou and narration by Claude Mumbere, as well as animations by NASA CI labs.
And, to top it off, LOOP has been nominated as a finalist in this year's Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival (2013)!
