SPARK ANIMATION 2014
Festival + Conference + Job Fair
Celebrating Inspiration & Innovation in the World of Animation
From October 22 to the 26, Spark CG will host the 6th annual SPARK ANIMATION FESTIVAL. Part conference and part festival, SPARK ANIMATION thrives on bringing together industry experts with newcomers, and that principle extends into the festival which provides a showcase for both established filmmakers and fresh new talent. With an eclectic mix of styles and languages, SPARK ANIMATION has become the premiere animation festival in Vancouver.
SPARK ANIMATION 2014 will feature a series of regional, national and international short and feature films, filmmaker workshops and mixers.
We are looking for animated projects from all over the world:
• Animated Feature Films
• Animated Short Films
• Animated Music Videos
• Animated Commercials
• Game Cinematics
Accepted Styles
• Computer animation (2D & 3D)
• Traditional animation
• Stop-motion animation
Note:
Hybrid projects (animation and live-action) and projects using advanced imaging technologies such as Stereoscopic 3D, HFR, UltraHD, are also accepted but may be considered for SPARK FWD 2015 at the discretion of the jury. Our other festival will run from January 28 to February 1, 2015.

About SPARK CG
The inaugural SPARK Conference and Festival took place in 2008 and since then, the Society has been working hard to promote and foster the local computer graphics community year-round by holding sold-out events, attracting internationally renowned speakers, and keeping abreast of how to best serve this dynamic community.

Rules & Terms
• Extended submission deadline is September 26, 2014
• Projects must have been completed after September 1st, 2013
• Films in foreign languages must have legible English subtitles
Additionally, to be considered for competition, projects must:
• Be premieres in Vancouver, Canada (graduation screenings or SIGGRAPH 2014 excluded)
• Not be available for viewing online or purchase in stores or online in Canada
