Know The Difference

Popular "3D" movies that are NOT native

Many of the biggest "3D" blockbusters were never shot with stereo cameras at all — they were converted from flat 2D footage in post-production. Conversion quality varies enormously, but none of it is native stereoscopy:

Titanic (2012 re-release) Jurassic World Gravity Life of Pi Mad Max: Fury Road Doctor Strange Avengers: Infinity War Avengers: Endgame Dune (2021) Top Gun: Maverick

Some of these conversions are excellent — but excellent post-conversion is still not the same thing as a stereo pair captured on set.
